Alive & Well ("the app") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes using Firebase Authentication. If you add profile details, we may also store your name, phone number, address, medical notes, emergency notes, and next-of-kin details so they can be included in emergency workflows.
The app stores your check-in timestamps and interval settings to provide safety and reminder features.
The app requests permission to access your device contacts only when you choose to use the "Pick from Phone Contacts" feature.
The app does not access contacts in the background and does not collect contacts automatically.
The app may request access to your device's location for SOS alerts, check-ins, nearby responder matching, and security company routing. Location information may be stored with your account, inbox alerts, SOS records, or incident records so emergency contacts, responders, or selected security providers can see relevant safety information during an active event.
The app stores Firebase account identifiers, push notification tokens, inbox state, SOS and check-in events, responder or security requests, and related operational records required to deliver its safety features.

All user data is stored securely using Firebase services (Firebase Authentication and Firestore).
Account data is protected by authentication and access controls. Relevant safety information may also be made available to the trusted contacts, responders, or security providers involved in a safety event.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is not shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
To provide app functionality, data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf, including Firebase/Google services, push-notification delivery services, and communications providers.
When required for a safety workflow, relevant profile, contact, location, SOS, check-in, and incident information may be shared with the trusted contacts, responders, or security providers selected or configured by the user.
You may delete emergency contacts directly within the app.
You can permanently delete your account and associated app data in the app under Profile > Account and data > Delete account and data.
If you cannot access the app, use our account deletion request page.
Account deletion removes the account and associated app data. Information may be retained only where required for security, fraud prevention, legal, or regulatory obligations, and only for the required period.
